Dr.Abhay Khurana, joined the hospital in 2020 after completing his MS in Ophthalmology & Advanced fellowships in cataract surgery, refractive laser eye surgery & medical retina with lasers.
Now with the addition of new high tech equipment, advancement in expertise &, the application of latest technology the hospital has achieved new heights in providing the eye care. This is evident by Google reviews by the patients undergoing cataract & laser eye surgery treatment.
Cataract surgery & and Phacoemulsification: With implantation of advanced intraocular lenses by the Microphaco surgical technique with 1.8 mm incision (MICS).
Dr.Abhay Khurana is using the modern equipment, like IOL MASTER 700 and PENTACAM HR, for accurate power calculation of advanced lenses like Multifocal, Trifocal, EDOF lenses & Toric lenses can be done with a great accuracy. Appropriate lens that would provide best vision to the patient after surgery can be decided easily.
Diabetes is an epidemic disease in India. Diabetic eye disease (diabetic Retinopathy)is very harmful to vision and in later stages permanent loss of vision results. Diabetic Retinopathy has become very common. For early detection and management Dr.Abhay Khurana uses Optical coherence tomography, (OCT). GREEN LASER is done to prevent further loss of vision or INTRAVITREAL injections are given.
Dr.Abhay Khurana is doing Glaucoma Screening and treatment in routine. Screening is done by Field charting, RNFL analysis of OCT scanning, Optic Disc cupping is done by taking repeated FUNDUS PHOTOGRAPHS. This disease causes permanent loss of vision. Proper treatment and assessment of the eye can save vision

IOL MASTER 700 has solved the problem of the Post Lasik patients coming for cataract surgery where the power calculation of the lens and predictability of vision was a great issue.
Vision correction, for removal of spectacles needs highly accurate calculations, PENTACAM HR is very helpful to decide the feasibility of vision correction either laser assisted or surgical correction is to be done.
Dr.Abhay Khurana, after properly assessing the patient, performs SBK LASER, FEMTO LASIK, CONTURA LASER, SURFACE ABLATION or TRANS EPITHELIAL LASER CORRECTION in routine. For those patients laser procedure is not suitable ICL IMPLANTATION OR REFRACTIVE LENS EXCHANGE (RLE) is done. Proper calculation for lens power in RLE with the help of IOL MASTER 700 is taken.
